Born in the Northern Quarter of Manchester in 1996 — taking the famous weave of denim as both its name and its inspiration.

Crosshatch was founded in Manchester's Northern Quarter in 1996, in a city with cotton and cloth written through its history. The name comes from the crosshatch weave of denim itself — the detail that gives the fabric its structure and its character.

The crest mark — two angular panels crossing two curved ones — carries that same idea into the branding itself, and the Black Label line pushes it furthest. Still designed out of Manchester, still built around denim and heavyweight cotton.
